Software Kit

This is a fully autonomous sentry gun system. This software is designed to automatically detect, track and anticipate moving targets so that a robotic turret, powered by off-the-shelf hobby servos, can accurately engage them. The turret can be bought or built to aim a paintball gun, second video/still image camera, airsoft gun, water gun, nerf gun, laser, etc., etc. (see the Instructions section)

The Software kit comes with the Software and a servo controller (as pictured above). The software sends target coordinates to the servo controller while the servo controller sends servo position commands to servos which you simply plug in to the controller. The servos are what physically aim the turret and pull the trigger. You can pick up servos from a local RC hobby shop for as little as $10 each and build your own turret hardware or buy the turret hardware from us (if we actually have any in stock.)

This software has been in development for over 2 years and during that time it has been constantly tested outdoors in natural environments and scenarios. There are videos of a small fraction of this testing on the videos page.

Turret Kit

The idea behind this kit is to just offer the custom hardware not available off the shelf as it would be too expensive to keep any significant quantity of absolutely everything needed in stock. I offer these kits because currently there are no other options out there besides trying to build it yourself. The picture on the left is what is included. The picture on the right is an assembled example (without servos installed). (click on the picture for a much larger image)

It has four quarter inch holes in the base and can be mounted to many different platforms from a tripod to an RC truck (the camera must be still to be used in autonomous mode though). It is designed for light paintball/airsoft guns as pictured. The torque of the servos decides the weight limit as the hardware itself can handle much more than the servos ever could. This new turret is also more rugged and more precise than the previous models.

The mount universally accepts most paintball/airsoft guns and the trigger pull bar is also widely adjustable. A single hose clamp is more than strong enough to securely hold whatever is mounted. It is engineered to keep the weight centered for the lowest servo load and optimal performance. The gears are 2:1 and need to be used with 180° Hitec servos (not continuous rotation servos unless used purely as an RC turret). Servos are easy to find at your local hobby shop.

The kit itself can be used for a variety of things including a simple RC turret on a mobile or fixed platform or with the software kit mounted on a sturdy fixed platform as an autonomous sentry gun.
